I have the same circle of friends as my ex, and we're in the same major at school (he transfered). I am nice, civil, but I don't go out of my way. He says I act weird, just because I'm not acting like a friend, and that I must have some resentment/hatred toward him...

Your Ex sounds like a total idiot. Being civil is all you have to be. You don’t need to go out of your way to entertain any friendship with him unless you truly want to.
It sounds like this guy has lost his ego up his arse.
My advice to you would be to continue behaving as you are and forget about him and what he thinks.
